Course Overview

Honors Algebra 2 is a challenging course that builds on the concepts learned in Algebra 1. It covers topics such as: 

• Functions: Students will learn about different types of functions, including linear, quadratic, polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. They will also learn how to graph functions, find their zeros, and solve equations involving functions. 
• Polynomials: Students will learn how to factor polynomials, solve polynomial equations, and graph polynomial functions.
• Exponents and Logarithms: Students will learn the properties of exponents and logarithms, and how to solve equations involving exponents and logarithms. 
• Trigonometry: Students will learn about the trigonometric functions, their graphs, and how to solve trigonometric equations. 
• Conic Sections: Students will learn about the different types of conic sections, including circles, ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas. They will also learn how to graph conic sections and solve equations involving conic sections.

Honors Algebra 2 is a rigorous course that will prepare students for more advanced math courses, such as Precalculus and Calculus.
